So, the mother of franchise cricket is here, and here we are with the IPL match predictions for Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders.
The Indian Premier League is undoubtedly the biggest league in the cricketing world.
Its charm is worldwide as cricketing stars from all over the world gather to play exciting cricket.
The first match will be played between two giant teams – CSK vs. KKR.
Chahar’s absence can hurt CSK
Both teams have so much history behind them as CSK has won 5 IPL titles and KKR grabbed 3.
The excitement is sky-high as fans would expect a thriller between the two sides.

If we have a look at the squads, it seems like Chennai Super Kings have got the perfect mixture of junior and experienced players.
Although they have done good business, the injury of Deepak Chahar will haunt them as he has been rested till the mid of April.
In his absence, they will have to rely on young blood and they may get Chris Jordan whose recent form is not up to the mark and he was hit plenty in Pakistan Super League.
However, their batting looks good as they have the services of Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad, who can be handy in powerplay while the experience of Moeen Ali and MS Dhoni will add some more firepower.

KKR analysis
On the other hand, we have got Kolkata Knight Riders whose nature of play is aggressive and they like to play their natural game in all circumstances.
Their opening batters are in good nick.
Ventakesh Iyer and skipper Shreyas Iyer are enjoying the form of their life.
Sadly, they had to take a blow as Englishman Alex Hales decided not to take part in this season due to mental pressure and bubble fatigue.
They have now got Aaron Finch but he will join the team later as he is on national duty captaining the national side in a white ball series against Pakistan.
Their middle order looks a bit weak as they don’t have any big names but their late middle-order contains Andre Russell who we all know can destroy any opposition with his brutal hitting.
They had issues in their bowling and their star bowlers were making a comeback from injury.
The big plus point is the form of Pat Cummins who looked in impeccable form in the recent Pakistan test series.
