Interested in IPL Predictions Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challengers Bangalore for IPL 2022?

This post is perfect for you.

CSK are the defending champions but are struggling in this season’s IPL.

They had played 4 matches and amazingly, have lost all 4!

No wonder, they are at the bottom of the points table with a net run rate of -1.211.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have won three out of their four matches.

They are third in the table with a net run rate of +0.294.

Team news

The biggest piece of bad news for RCB is the non-availability of Harshal Patel.

He exited the bubble on Sunday after the game against MI due to the untimely demise of his sister.

It is still not clear how how Harshal will remain unavailable for RCB but it is definitely a big blow.

Harshal is not just. handy all-rounder but also a death overs specialist with the uncanny knack of picking up wickets, making him worth his weight in gold.

Last year, he was IPL’s leading wicket-taker with 32 scalps.

However, it’s not all gloom for RCB.

Their young batter, Anuj Rawat showed brilliant touch in the previous match, scoring 66 runs in just 47 balls with two boundaries and six huge sixes.

Even Virat Kohli is looking good since he has left the captaincy.

Their bowling attack is also performing well – with the mystery spinner Wanindu Hasaranga, David Willey and Mohammed Siraj, managing to keep it tight.

On the other hand, CSK is in doldrums.

Their head coach Stephen Fleming admitted that the team’s self-belief is shaken after four losses in a row.

The biggest letdown has been Ruturaj Gaikwad who has totally lost the form, he showed in IPL 2021.

Even all-rounder Shivam Dube needs to show more consistency with bat and ball.

Weather Report

The weather forecast is good.

There are almost no chances of rain in the region.

It will be hot and humid and the dew will play a role after 8.30 pm.

Match Details:

Date: April 12

Time: 7:30 PM IST

Venue: DY Patil Stadium, Nerul

Pitch report

The pitch is hard with good bounce and the ball comes on to the bat.

This will enable stroke players to play their shots.

It’s the kind of pitch where a batter will fancy his chances of going for a hook shot even against the fastest of bowlers.

A score of 175-190 is quite probable for the team batting first.

Chennai Super Kings Likely 11

Jeetbig Batter of the match

Faf du Plessis is brimming with confidence.

He is in good form and till now, has scored a total of 138 runs in his 4 innings at an average of 34.

He is expected to get a big score and today could be the day.

For CSK, the best performing batter has been Robin Uthappa.

He is a brilliant stroke player and if manages to keep his concentration, can prove to be a game-changer.

Jeetbig Bowler of the match

Hasaranga has been outstanding for RCB.

He has got countless variations and also enjoys the full confidence of his skipper.

He can prove to be a handful for the CSK batters.

Who will win

On current form, RCB are clear favourites.

They have a few weak points but have managed to muster up some wins based on some superlative individual performances.

CSK is enjoying a bad run but that can easily change with a single win.

They have a formidable experience of winning tournaments and will be hungry to put up some points.

We expect a close encounter and our prediction is that CSK will win.
