Want to know IPL Predictions for CSK Playing 11 for IPL 2022?
You have come to the right place.
The defending champions Chennai Super Kings Is one of the most consistent teams in the history of IPL.
The Chennai-based Franchise has won 4 IPL Trophies so far- second most after Mumbai Indians’ 5 titles.
CSK has been amongst the strongest IPL teams under the leadership of M.S Dhoni.
Chennai is known to pick a strong side every year and once again they have assembled a balanced 25 membered squad in the mega auction of IPL 2022.
The Yellow storm will be keen to defend their title and win the IPL trophy for the fifth time.
They have a strong side on paper but they will have to pick a balanced playing 11 for the opening matches.
CSK Squad:
MS Dhoni (c), Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ambati Rayudu, Robin Uthappa, Deepak Chahar, N Jagadeesan, C Hari Nishaanth, Subhranshu Senapati, KM Asif, Mukesh Choudhary, Maheesh Theekshana, Simarjeet Singh, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Bhagath Varma, Prashant Solanki, Chris Jordan, Dwaine Pretorius, Devon Conway, Adam Milne, Mitchell Santner, Dwayne Bravo, Shivam Dube, Tushar Deshpande
Openers; Gaikwad and Conway
Chennai has a very strong opening pair in the form of Ruturuj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis who were the top 2 run-scorers in the IPL 2021 season.
But Faf du Plessis was not picked by CSK in the auction so, Ruturuj Gaikwad will most probably open the innings with Devon Conway in this season.
The Kiwi batter will take the place of the Faf du Plessis which is not an easy task.
Gaikwad was in wonderful form last year and was the orange cap winner last season with 635 runs in 16 innings.
CSK also has the experienced Robin Uthappa in their squad as a third opening option but he might get a chance in the middle order.
Middle Order; Moeen, Rayudu, and Dhoni
Chennai has not made many changes in their middle-order and purchased a lot of players who were the part of the side in the last season.
Moeen Ali will bat at no 3 spot followed by Ambati Rayudu and MS Dhoni at no 4 and 5.
Ali will play as an all-rounder to provide good starts and also deliver with the ball when the need arises.
Ambati Rayudu and MS Dhoni are the two key players for CSK over the years and once again they will play as the match winners for them.
All-rounders; Dube, Jadeja, Bravo, and Pretorius
Chennai has Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, and Dwaine Pretorius as the all-round options because Deepak Chahar’s availability is in doubt due to injury.
There is a contest between Robin Uthappa and Shivam Dube in the middle-order but Dube has an upper chance due to his bowling ability.
Ravindra Jadeja will be the key player for Chennai both with the bat and bowl.
Jadeja has improved his batting a lot in the last 12 months and he will prove a match-winner for Chennai in the death overs.
Deepak Chahar will probably miss a lot of part of the IPL 2022 due to injury so, Pretorius will perform his job alongside DJ Bravo in this season.
Bowlers; KM Asif and Milne
The youngster KM Asif didn’t get much chance in the last season but due to Deepak Chahar’s injury, he could play as a front-line bowler for Chennai this season.
The New Zealand’s pacer Adam Milne is also a part of the yellow storm who could probably play as their premium pacer in the starting games.
